“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be" (Deuteronomy 15:7-11).
One Time Gift
Your one time gift will be used to provide love and care for those who are truly in need of your sacrifice. The more you can donate, the more blessings we can provide for those who are desperately in need and have nothing. HomelessHelper works right along with the homeless on the streets, giving them the life essentials they really need. Without people like you, who give from their heart the homeless would remain unloved. Like angel Raphael said, "Prayer and fasting are good, but better than either is almsgiving (donating money) accompanied by righteousness (being morally correct)...it is better to give alms...for almsgiving saves one from death (Hell) and expiates (pays the punishment for) every sin" Tobit 12:8-9.
Give Monthly (Your Monthly Gift Matters)
We are in great need of monthly sponsors. If you can sacrifice a single dinner out or a trip to the movies, once a month, and share your blessings out of love for Christ, in the homeless, for just $20 or more, those who sleep on the concrete, in the cold rain with the bugs, who have no place to call home, will be greatly blessed with your continued gift of love. "Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed" (Proverbs 19:17).
Many of the homeless require special shoes for the jobs they apply for or are working at (many homeless have jobs...they just don't have enough income to afford housing). Your love will provide work boots for the homeless person who wants or has a job in the construction industry. Numerous homeless have been rewarded jobs for simply showing up to a job site with boots on; no boots no job! Others want to work in restaurants and do kitchen work. However, before they can start their new job, they need nonslip work shoes. "Whosoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord and he will repay him for his deed" (Proverbs 19:17). Your generous support of $25 will provide the homeless with quality shoes.
Give comfort to the homeless. Everyone deserves to sleep with a blanket, and you can provide Jesus -- who dwells in each homeless person -- with warmth and comfort. "And he would answer and say to them, 'The man who has two tunics is to share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do likewise'". (Luke 3:11) Imagine sleeping outside in the elements with nothing to comfort you. You can live the gospel and bring the comfort to the homeless children of God. Homeless Helper can provide a needy person with a blanket for just $8.
Imagine sleeping outside with the rain and the bugs, in the heat or the cold, night after night after night. You can provide basic human comfort for Jesus, who lives in each homeless person. This is such a fundamental necessity Your generous donation will allow Homeless Helper to supply the poor with such essentials. "Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deeds" (Proverbs 19:17). A sleeping bag will be given to the needy for your donation of $25.
Bibles and Other Religious Materials
The homeless have ears that hear. They love the Lord and want to know Him better. You can live the gospel and share the good news with the homeless. Your generous donation will allow Homeless Helper to provide Bibles, educational materials, and sacramentals (religious items) for the homeless so they can grow in their faith and their souls may be saved through your love and care.“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation" (Mark 16:15). Your generous donation will bring the Holy Word of God to a needy person for just $12
Life Essentials for the Needy
Living on the streets means relying on others to care for your needs. Since income is very limited or non-existent, and all people are children of God regardless of why they are in a homeless situation, they deserve to be respected and loved. Our Lord Jesus Christ lives in each homeless person. By your generous giving to the needy, you are truly giving to the Lord Jesus himself -- even if the person receiving your love doesn't seem grateful. The Lord, who you are serving with your love, is very pleased and will reward you accordingly. Your most generous contribution will allow Homeless Helper to give to those truly in need. "Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me" (Matthew 25:40).
Help Someone Who Escaped Being Homeless
When a homeless person finally gets a home, they are in need of basically everything a person would require to live in a house, and as we know, it is very expensive to purchase the basics especially a mattress (without bed bugs). Your generous donation of $90 for a twin bed, or $130 for a queen bed, can provide a new (bed bug free) mattress for the needy which Homeless Helper will deliver on your behalf.
